INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Mr. Festus Okoye, revealed this in an assertion in Abuja on Monday.

Okoye said three workplaces of the commission were assaulted in Anambra, Imo, and Enugu State.

He said the Anambra INEC Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC), Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji, his Imo partner, Prof. Francis Ezeonu, and that of Enugu state, Mr. Emeka Ononamadu detailed that the assaults occurred on different occasions on Sunday night.

Okoye said INEC state central command in Awka was set on fire in the most obliterating invasion on the commission's offices up until now.

He depicted the assaults as plainly arranged and focused on crippling the commission to keep it from directing constituent exercises, particularly in Anambra.
