Police nab suspects behind the attack on Benue governor

Nigeria Police Force said it captured a few men purportedly associated with the bombed assault on the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.

The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, reported the capture on Thursday at unique instructions of State House journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“Those who organized and those who pulled the trigger have all been arrested and investigation is ongoing,” Alkali said.

The Benue State Governor in March claimed that shooters suspected to be herders assaulted him on his ranch close to Tyo-mu, along Makurdi-Gboko Highway of Benue State.

Music producer, four others nabbed for alleged cybercrime

Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, April 16, 2021, arrested one Imeh Henshaw Nyong, a music producer and four others for alleged internet fraud in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Nyong was arrested alongside Benjamin Ikpeme, Godwin Isong, Magnus Chimaobi and Victor Usun.

The suspects, whose ages range between 22 and 25 years, were arrested in an early morning raid at two locations in the state, based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

Daniel Fakoya, 18, of Priory Court, E17 was sentenced to 15 years in jail and a further three years on the licence, following a hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, 11 October.

He was jailed for firearms offences after shots were discharged in Leyton. He must serve a minimum of 10 years of his sentence.

EFCC Arrests 9 ‘Yahoo Boys’ In Edo, Seizes Cars, Others

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office have arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters at their various hideouts in Benin City, Edo State.

They were arrested sequel to intelligence gathering, which alleged that they were involved in the fraudulent internet activity known as ‘cat-fishing’.

The suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 35 are: Amafin Collins, Edafitite Abel, Usianene Elizojie, Ojiefor Marvelus, Uduehi Osumor, Geigi Emmanuel Ose, Osaro Osakpolor, Francis Omoiegbe and Onuoba Prince Nonso.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Monday, arraigned Ajibade Wasiu Oladotun, pictured, before Justice M.A. Onyetenu of the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State on a three-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and possession of false document.

E-Money, a dismissed policeman that had been terrorizing Imo, Abia, Enugu and Rivers states, was killed during a gunfight with the Police from Imo State Police Command, last year, in Owerri, where he had gone to kidn@p a businessman.

300L Benue State University student shot dead by cultists over missing trouser

The Benue State Police Command has reportedly arrested a suspected cultist over the m^rder of one Oketa Simon, a 300 level Mass Communication undergraduate of Benue State University.

Simon, also a suspected cultist, was shot dead on the 6th of November, 2018, in a farm opposite Rahama Clinic Logo II Makurdi. The Police arrested 18-year-old Samuel Ochoechi, a non student linked to the crime.

Thief with charm in his mouth electrocuted while trying to steal copper in Abuja

A thief who had a charm in his mouth, got electrocuted while attempting to steal copper from a PHCN installation in the Karu area in Abuja last night, October 9th.

His body has been brought down from the electric pole and has been deposited in the morgue.

In the graphic photos, the lifeless body of the shirtless thief is seen hanging on the electric pole.

Two young men, Igwe Obumneme Samuel and Emeka Ebunoha, have been arrested in Port Harcourt for examination fraud.

According to reports, they are a part of an internet syndicate selling leaked examination papers to students sitting for the West African School Certificate Examination, WASCE.\

Police arrests 57 suspected homos@xuals in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command on Monday said it had arrested 57 persons suspected to be involved in homos@xual activities in the Egbeda area of the state.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi, confirmed the arrest to newsmen during a news conference.

He said that the suspects were picked up on Sunday at 2 a.m. while they were performing g@y-initiation for newly recruited members.

An undergraduate and cult member, Chijioke Ogbonna, also known as Ogbotiti who was arrested by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Imo State, has confessed to killing three people since he was initiated into the Black Axe confraternity in 2014.

The 23-year-old undergraduate of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, who is an indigene of Umuejije, Isialangwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, said his resolve to seek revenge led him into killing three persons, one of whom was a member of a rival cult group.

23 year old mother sells six-weeks-old baby in Edo; uses proceeds to buy new phone

The Edo state police command have apprehended a 23-year-old mother of two, Miracle Johnson, for selling her six-weeks-old baby and using proceeds from the transaction to buy herself a phone.

According to a report by Punch, Miracle who hails from Agenebode in Etsako East local government area of the state, sold her baby, Greatness, to an orphanage in Onitsha, Anambra State, for N200,000.

Miracle said she was pushed to sell her baby because of financial hardship being experienced by herself and her husband.

EFCC arrests Zenith bank’s MD over suspicious withdrawal of N117bn by Rivers State Government

The EFCC has reportedly detained the MD of Zenith Bank, Peter Amangbo over a series of transactions his bank allegedly carried out on behalf of Rivers State.

EFCC is alleging that the transactions, at least N117 billion in value, are suspicious in nature but that Zenith failed to report them as demanded by law.

According to reports, Amangbo was held to explain why his bank failed to document the withdrawals, allegedly done over a three-year period, as suspicious.

Amangbo was first invited for questioning on August 23, but he was freed on administrative bail and asked to return on August 24 for further interrogation.

Two Nigerian Housemaids Allegedly Killed By Their Bosses In Saudi Arabia

Two Nigerian girls have been allegedly killed by their employers after being trafficked to work as housemaids in Saudi Arabia.

The m@rder of the two young women occurred within a space of two weeks in the respective homes where they worked as servants by their Saudi bosses.

According to Satellite Times, the first Nigerian girl to be m@rdered was by name Omotayo who until her death in June 2018 worked as a migrant domestic worker in Riyadh.

She reportedly sent this photo to her friends in a group chat called “Strong Nigerian Ladies” – a solidarity group created by Nigerian migrant domestic workers in Saudi Arabia.

Slay queen gets beaten for allegedly stealing the sperm of a man she slept with

There’s a video making rounds on social media, about a ‘slay queen’ who allegedly stole the sperm of ‘her clients’ after they fornicated.

In the video, the men can be seen cursing out at her, and giving her the beating of her life.

Three men arrested for stealing Solar Panels worth N14M in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State have arrested three men in Atan-Otta area of the state, for stealing 12 MTN Solar Panels worth N14 Million.

The gang identified as Kehinde Yahya, 36, Akeem Ademola, 36 and Taofeek Oladele, 36, dismantled the source of power on Saturday, August 18, 2018, but met their waterloo when a group of vigilante members at Onigbongbo Phase 2 sighted them at about 12.30am on that fateful day and contacted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station, SP Abiodun Salau.

SP Salau, led his team of patrolmen to the scene and arrested three of the alleged vandals while other members of the syndicate escaped into a nearby bush.
