Police nab suspects behind the attack on Benue governor

Nigeria Police Force said it captured a few men purportedly associated with the bombed assault on the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.

The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, reported the capture on Thursday at unique instructions of State House journalists at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“Those who organized and those who pulled the trigger have all been arrested and investigation is ongoing,” Alkali said.

The Benue State Governor in March claimed that shooters suspected to be herders assaulted him on his ranch close to Tyo-mu, along Makurdi-Gboko Highway of Benue State.

Music producer, four others nabbed for alleged cybercrime

Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, April 16, 2021, arrested one Imeh Henshaw Nyong, a music producer and four others for alleged internet fraud in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Nyong was arrested alongside Benjamin Ikpeme, Godwin Isong, Magnus Chimaobi and Victor Usun.

The suspects, whose ages range between 22 and 25 years, were arrested in an early morning raid at two locations in the state, based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in cybercrime.

Daniel Fakoya, 18, of Priory Court, E17 was sentenced to 15 years in jail and a further three years on the licence, following a hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, 11 October.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office have arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters at their various hideouts in Benin City, Edo State.

They were arrested sequel to intelligence gathering, which alleged that they were involved in the fraudulent internet activity known as ‘cat-fishing’.

The suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 35 are: Amafin Collins, Edafitite Abel, Usianene Elizojie, Ojiefor Marvelus, Uduehi Osumor, Geigi Emmanuel Ose, Osaro Osakpolor, Francis Omoiegbe and Onuoba Prince Nonso.

The Benue State Police Command has reportedly arrested a suspected cultist over the m^rder of one Oketa Simon, a 300 level Mass Communication undergraduate of Benue State University.

Police arrests 57 suspected homos@xuals in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command on Monday said it had arrested 57 persons suspected to be involved in homos@xual activities in the Egbeda area of the state.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi, confirmed the arrest to newsmen during a news conference.

79-year-old Bill Oxley, ex-agent of America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has claimed he is responsible for the death of reggae legend, Bob Marley.


Marley tragically died aged only 36-years-old, following a four-year battle with cancer.

The story of cancer may seem untrue as startling claims have emerged from a deathbed confession made by an ex-CIA officer, where he admitted to the killing.

According to a report by the Daily Star,Oxley is alleged to have claimed the murder of Marley among 17 other assassinations for the American government between 1974 and 1985, at a time when he said the CIA “was a law unto itself.”

According to a report by Punch, Miracle who hails from Agenebode in Etsako East local government area of the state, sold her baby, Greatness, to an orphanage in Onitsha, Anambra State, for N200,000.

EFCC arrests Zenith bank’s MD over suspicious withdrawal of N117bn by Rivers State Government

The EFCC has reportedly detained the MD of Zenith Bank, Peter Amangbo over a series of transactions his bank allegedly carried out on behalf of Rivers State.

EFCC is alleging that the transactions, at least N117 billion in value, are suspicious in nature but that Zenith failed to report them as demanded by law.

According to reports, Amangbo was held to explain why his bank failed to document the withdrawals, allegedly done over a three-year period, as suspicious.

Three men arrested for stealing Solar Panels worth N14M in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State have arrested three men in Atan-Otta area of the state, for stealing 12 MTN Solar Panels worth N14 Million.

The gang identified as Kehinde Yahya, 36, Akeem Ademola, 36 and Taofeek Oladele, 36, dismantled the source of power on Saturday, August 18, 2018, but met their waterloo when a group of vigilante members at Onigbongbo Phase 2 sighted them at about 12.30am on that fateful day and contacted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station, SP Abiodun Salau.
