Sammie Okposo, in conversation with the Saturday Beats, talked about the songs of the Nigerian gospel.
According to Sammie Okposo, Nigeria's evangelical artists are generally treated as members of the royal family overseas due to the rich mix of Nigerian evangelical songs.
“I have been to many countries around the world and it is always so special to see the way they accept Nigerian gospel songs. They treat us like kings and queens because of the message in our songs and how they glorify the name of God.
For me, this goes to show how relevant our songs are and how people want to associate with the way Nigerians praise God.
Therefore, this year’s Unusual Praise is going to be another great avenue to sell our mode of worship to the world and ultimately glorify our creator in a truly special way.”
