Fortnite is now officially added to the Google Play Store for Android users. The game, developed by Epic Games, Inc., was played on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Switch before it arrived on the Google Android Play Store. In the game, you can join and participate in the latest Battle Royale, or use your imagination to create your Fortnite dream on Creative.
About a year and a half ago Fortnite was only available for download through a third-party application that could be installed on the Epic Game website. The reason for this was the 30 percent revenue that Google receives from downloaded apps that the company was against and very vocal about. According to the company, the fees charged by Google and Apple for apps and in-app purchases in their app stores were very high.
With the increasing pressure from Google, making it difficult to develop non-Play apps, the developer has decided to put the game on the official Android channel. Check out the game features below.
