A few weeks ago, we alerted you to the upcoming OPay smartphones recently announced in the OPay portfolio. Smartphones are featured in the OLLA series.

Opay, in an attempt to change history, has joined smartphone makers by launching their new OLLA Android smartphones. This cheap and affordable new smartphone will compete with Xiaomi, OPPO, Infinix and Tecno smartphones in the Nigerian smartphone market.

The smartphone has been unveiled on Tuesday 4th February 2020, and it comes in six models code-name

OLLA V9PRO

OLLA M8 PLUS

OLLA M8

OLLA MI LITE and

OLLA M6.

Highlights Specifications of The Six Models of the Olla Smartphones

OLLA Note 3: Comes with 6.5 HD+ Display, 2.0GHz octa-core processor, and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. Looking at the cameras, we have dual rear cameras of 16MP + 2MP and a 16MP front-facing camera. 4GB + 64GB onboard storage, Dual Sim and housed by 33000mAh battery capacity.

OLLA V9 Pro: Comes with 6.5 HD+ Display, 2Ghz processor, dual rear cameras of 13MP + 0.3MP and 5MP selfie camera, 3GB + 32GB onboard storage, Dual sim and comes with Android 9pie out of the box. Housed by a battery capacity of 39000mAh.

OLLA M8 Plus: 5.99+ Display, 1.3GHz Quad-core, dual rear cameras of 8MP + 0.3MP and 5MP front-facing camera. 2GB + 16GB onboard storage and will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. It is housed by a battery capacity of 2800mAh.

OLLA M8: On the other hands, comes with 5.77 HD+ Dot drop display, 13MP + 2MP rear cameras and 5MP front-facing cameras, 2GB + 16GB onboard storage housed by a 3000mAh battery capacity

OLLa M1 Lite: 5.7 HD+ Dot drop display, 8MP rear camera + 8MP front-facing camera, 2GB + 16GB onboard storage, Android 9 Pie, housed by a 3000mAh battery capacity.

OLLA M6: THis device is a 3G smartphone with 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, Android 8 Go edition, 5.45 Display, 5MP back camera and 5MP front camera, 1GB + 8GB onboard storage housed by a 2500mAh battery capacity.

The retail prices range from N56,500 for the Olla Note 3

OLLA V9 PRO(4G) 3GB+32GB goes for N32,000

OLLA M8 PLUS(4G) 2GB+16GB goes for N22,000

OLLA M8(4G) 2GB+16GB variant for N21,000

OLLA MI LITE(4G) 2GB+16GB variant for N20,500

… and OLLA M6 goes for N16,000

The new OLLA smartphones will be available in the market for purchase beginning from the 25th of February, 2020.
