HMD Global has announced its latest limited budget smartphone called Nokia 2.3. It is an Android One and comes as a successor to Nokia 2.2. The camera had a 6.2 inch HD + display and was powered by a 12 nm MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. It runs on Android 9.0 (Pie), an operating system connected to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The handset sports a notch display with 5-megapixel camera on the front. Other features include support for Face Unlock, dedicated Google Assistant Button, has dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots, features 3D nano-textured cover. One of the downsides of the phone is that, it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. The Nokia 2.3 packs a 4000mAh battery that promises 2 days of battery life.

Design And Display

The Nokia 2.3 smartphone sports a 6.2-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio and has a notch that house the front selfie camera. The device measures 157.69 x 75.41 x 8.68mm in dimension and weighs 183 grams.

The phone is available in Cyan Green, Sand and Charcoal colors and features 3D nano-textured cover. It comes with an inner high-precision diecast aluminium chassis makes the structure solid and rigid protecting all the components inside

Storage And Performance

The device packs a 32GB internal storage and this can be further expanded up to 512GB with microSD card. It comes powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor, clocked at 2GHz. Running on Android 9 Pie, the Nokia 2.3 is paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone can also be upgraded to Android 10 and has supports for dual SIM, 4G and VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB.

Other features include Face Unlock support, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM Radio. The phone packs a 4000mAh battery that promises 2 days of battery life.

Cameras

As per the cameras, the Nokia 2.3 handset features a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. This is located on the front notch display of the device. The back of the phone has a combination of 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera. The company claimed that using advanced structural engineering, it was possible to integrate the dual camera and flash into the rear of the phone without a camera bump.

The Nokia 2.3 smartphone comes with a price tag of €109 (Euros) which is about $121 (US dollars).
