Actually, We've seen many updates for instant messaging apps and other updates are still being implemented. Just a few weeks ago, we came up with the following information: Swipe to Reply, Dark Mode, and Extension Participant.
WhatsApp has implemented the Swipe to Reply feature, which has been active for some time on iOS, is currently being deployed on Android beta testers. while we are still waiting for the dark mode and other updates to be applied.
The new "Swipe to reply" feature allows quick response to the message in direct motion. That basically means you no longer have to press and hold the message to get the Reply button.
If you are a beta tester on Android, just upgrade to WhatsApp Version 2.18.300 and feature will be active on your device.
