Download on Playstore Here
While Google and Apple are working tirelessly to ensure that the Play and App Store are harmless, safe and undoubtedly the best source for downloading applications, some dangerous software often finds the way to the world. platform.
McAfee security company reports that a known group of cybercriminals, named AsiaHitGroup, has hit again with modified software that has been recycled for years in the Google Play Store.
This software is known as Sonvpay.C and enters the Play Store through a variant of innocent applications such as ringtones, QR code scanners, lights and tastes. And it is difficult to avoid, even if you are a smart user.
After the malicious application is installed on your device, the "Update" notification appears. However, this is not an update, but a re-packed signature button that, when clicked, immediately confuses the user with an unknown pay-as-you-go service. This version of Sonvpaya does not support SMS messages, as opposed to older versions. Instead, it uses WAP billing - a live message about the website - which means it will not be seen in the user's message history.
Information from MacAfee reveals that dubious applications have been used in Malaysia and Kazakhstan, but if the application understands that smartphones do not exist, they will still send SMS messages to the top service.
According to the report, applications have been on the Internet since early this year, and MacAfee estimated that AzatHitGroup had fooled innocent people between $ 60,500 and $ 145,000.
