Ask the same question again and again it will become very old, very soon.

You can move away from the question "How was your day at school" at the beginning of the school year, but not too long. After all, there are new teachers and friends we talk to, new projects, new classrooms and new backpacks we can talk about. But for a month? Your question in the day will result in one word in a word: "good". It does not give you much information.

18. What didn't you have today that you want to have for tomorrow?
19. Did you notice what your teacher was wearing today?
20. Who do you want to be better friends with?

23. Could you tell me your favorite part about today in just 2 different words?

Asking questions about certain times or issues that include a number will make your child open their day. There's nothing wrong with the old clock, "how was your day at school?" but in January you will want to ask something new.
