Sani Kantu, lawyer of former retired chief Abdulrasheed Maina, said his client is not running from Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), writes Punch.
Kantu, speaking to Punch, said his client was not running because he was challenging the legality of the EFCC's existence in court.
The House of Representatives ordered the arrest of his client, Kantu said, and the arrest was disputed in the case before the Supreme Court in Abuja. He said:
He is not on the run. How can he be on the run when we are challenging the legality of the existence of the EFCC?
