The concern over Muslim rights Concern (MURIC) has been shocked by the attack by the executive chairman of the Abuja home of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahima Magu, according to The Cable.
The house of the EFCC chairman at Abuja's farm was attacked by armed men who defeated the policeman until his death and raised livestock and sheep.
Group President Ishaq Akintola, who describes the attack on Magu's life, said that "heads should rotate" if something happens to the EFCC chairman.
He said the assault was the third attempt in Magu's life in 2017, which proves that "strong people" are trying to solve it. He said:
Unknown gunmen have again attacked the house of the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu.
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) expresses shock at this wanton waste of life and the desperation to assassinate the EFCC boss.
Heads must roll if anything happens to Magu.
Being the third attempt on the life of the EFCC boss this year alone, there is no iota of doubt that some powerful people just want him out of the way by hook or by crook.
The handwriting is on the wall and the federal government must give marching orders to the nation’s security agencies to leave no stone unturned in the mission to protect Magu.
We believe it is high time FG read the riot act to the security agencies.
