Chief Judge Lagos State (CJ), Justice Opeyemi Oke, was released on Thursday, detaining four Badagry in Lagos prisons in accordance with efforts to eliminate congestion in state prisons.
Although the number of detainees released nine, five more sent them back to formal constitutional charges due to the gravity of their offenses.
Names published were Sharafadeen Sheu, Israel Emmanuel, Samoda Rasak and Tunde Ojo. Oke released detainees at trial during a visit to prison on Thursday.
The boys were free from age 17 to 19.
The Oke called the detainees lost the "stop mistake", adding that all the judges, including themselves, prayed for them to have a good job so they were not arrested for extortion and unemployment.
He noted that this move was aimed at reducing the congestion in prisons and the release of some detainees who had been waiting for trial for years.

Oke argued that the reason why the other five had returned to the jail was permitting them to deal with the constitutional consequences of the offense and serve as another intimidating for others.
