Get well soon, Nigerians wish Buhari

Following Sunday’s announcement by Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, that President Muhammadu Buhari will take a 10 days off and travel to London to rest, as well as see an Ear, Nose and Throat, E.N.T specialist for a persistent ear infection, Nigerians took to the social media to wish the president a quick recovery.

Adesina who took to his Facebook page to make the announcement said: “President Muhammadu Buhari will take 10 days off and travel to London on Monday, June 6, 2016, to rest. During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T. specialist for a persistent ear infection. “The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja and was treated. Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution.” But Nigerians in a swift reaction to Adesina’s post began to send President Buhari ‘get well soon’ messages. Hassan Musa Matane wrote: “Wishing our President a speedy recovery and journey mercy.” Chidi Nnadi wrote: “May Allah be with Mr President, I have noticed recently in his interviews that he has hearing difficulties. We will continue to pray for our president until he returns from his trip.” Nnaemeka Amanze wrote: “You deserve some rest, Mr President. Get well soon. Our thoughts are with you everyday.” Salami Olaito wrote: “May God grant him speedy recovery and long life in good health. No part of his body will be infected with any known or unknown diseases in Jesus name. The scripture says by His stripes we are healed. So shall it be for our president in Christ Jesus name. Amen.” Razaq Adedigba wrote: “May Allah heal the President fast and strengthen him to continue to discharge the onerous duty of state to the benefit of all Nigerians.” Aliyu Bello wrote: “Any life body that contains water and blood must surely get ill. As I am writing now, I am also sick with minor recurrent constipation. Mr President! I wish you journey mercy and fast recovery. God bless you for telling us that you’re suffering from ear infection.” Lyday Jimahat wrote: “May Allah heal him from Ear Nose & Throat infection! In the spirit of Ramadan…”
