 ABSTRACT 
      Football seat reservation system is a developed process of assigning seats to football match viewers with a numbering pattern often regarded as the seat number. Reserving seats to match viewers by the means of going to the stadium to get it has turned as setbacks to modern ways of reservation because it faces the problem of easy and quick ordering which ordering cannot be done anywhere but through the stadium gate post. The aim of this project is to use the online system to help in automating the existing system, by so doing help in changing the reservation mode to an online football seat reservation system. The methodology to this project is a web based system that will help in carrying the researches solution of this work with the help of an application that is developed with PHP/ HTML programming languages and SQL as the database standard. With the help of Information Communication Technology reservation has improved greatly as a result of the ordering ability added to the computing standards found in the database system. This research work can be implemented on any academic project for reference and on reservation systems also on software to acts on stadium management. This is to recommend that this project is a completed work on online reservation system for seats in football stadium. Contribution of this work to the growth of ICT in Nigeria is that, this software will promote the use of computer, internet and Smartphone for easy access to the system.

 CHAPTER ONE: INTRODUCTION 
1.1 INTRODUCTION Online football seat reservation system is the act of using the online technology in seat reservation process for football matches. This system is used by match viewers who come to the stadium for the interest of watching football match. The reservation process is only carried out online and the system can be used by stadium management systems, football club management or even some reservation systems can use it based on editing the system and proceeding in the same format, systems like transport reservation systems. With the use of the online technology users can go online to make orders only by checking out their favorite match and date and also making order on it based on regular or VIP routine after which due payments will be made in the bank provided for use for the seat’s ticket number will finally be assigned to users. This system can be used during period of seat’s reservation or before the day of the match to avoid problems of not meeting up reservation. 

1.2 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY 
Dan Ayiam stadium will be adopting the computerized mode of management using the computer system in recording information, issuing out tickets and controlling of user’s activities. DanAnyiam Stadium is a Nigerian multi-purpose stadium located in Owerri, Imo State. Located in the centre of Owerri, Imo State's capital, the capital of Imo State, the stadium is named after Daniel Anyiam, vice-captain of the first Nigeria national football team. It is used mostly for association-football matches and is the home stadium of Heartland F.C. The stadium a capacity of 10,000 people. 

1.3 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM 
The problems facing stadium management are based on the manual form of handling it and some of this which inspired this project are:
 (1) Fraudulent acts in issuing tickets.
 (2) Unavailability of the service to the general public
 (3) Weakness in management’s operation 
(4) Expenses in managing staff 
(5) Information porosity 
(6) Poor financial management 
(7) User’s Unfriendliness 

 1.4 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY 
The aims of the project are to help eliminate the problems being faced by stadium management system while on manual form, some of which are listed here as: 

(1) Efficient management of the stadium 
(2) Easy access to information to the user like match fixtures 
(3) Security on stadium’s management 
(4) Flexibility in tickets ordering across the country through the internet technology
 (5) Correctness and accurateness in stadium’s information
 (6) Fastness in getting tickets across to buyers 
(7) Customer’s ability to be part of the system by having access to create an account 

1.5 SCOPE OF THE STUDY: 

The range of this study is to cover the sports sector of entertainment narrowing it down to soccer. This project will be entailing details about stadium management system using the Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri as the case study. In the course of this project the system will be automated to the computerized form rather than the usual manual form of keeping records and order. This study will be covering five different chapters from introduction as chapter one to chapter two, the review of different authors on the subject, chapter three; how the information concerning this study was achieved by going to the stadium to Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri to collect facts. The implementation of the study is to cover the given way the input of information as records regarding to what is concerned with the stadium while the output system covers the retrieving ability of detailed information of the stadium. Conclusion, summary and recommendation as the closure of the study.

 1.6 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

 The impact of this study is on the improvement of the use of information system on Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri. This study will succeed in automating the system to a computerized mode that will enable the administration of the stadium to refer the matches time, seat numbers and tickets to be keyed into the computer system and later retrieved in times of necessity. The significance of this research is to help the staff of the stadium attain excellency, accuracy, and effectiveness in the data or information with aid of an information management system. This study will also advance the managerial skill of the management to alter on issues, give sound decisions based on real and kept facts about the stadium. 

 1.7 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY: 
The setbacks to the success of this project are: 
(1) Financial constraint: The estimated money to meet the expenses on achieving this project is yet to be actualized which will be a limitation to the success of this work.
 (2) Limited time: Enough time is asked for this project to be completed successfully which is not achievable due to activities and other schedules. 
(3) Unavailability of adequate information : The library and internet cannot meet up with some required information based on the fact that this is a narrowed case study 
(4) Lack of sponsorship: Sponsors requires vivid conviction to involve themselves in this project which at the moment is not attainable. 
 (5) Procrastination and pessimism: Procrastinating is a major setback to all projects in life.

 1.8 DEFINITION OF TECHNICAL TERMS 

 1. Stadium: A place where people watch sports or other activities, usually a large enclosed flat area surrounded by tiers of seats for spectator 
2. Management: the organizing and controlling of the affairs of a business or a sector of a business 
3. Football: A game in which 2 teams of 11 players score points by carrying an oval ball across their opponents' goal line or by kicking the ball through the opponents' goal posts 
4. Computer: An electronic device that accepts, processes, stores, and outputs data at high speeds according to programmed instructions 
5. Online: Attached to or available through a central computer or computer network 
6. Technology: the study, development, and application of devices, machines, and techniques for manufacturing and productive processes 
7. Information: definite knowledge acquired or supplied about something or somebody 
8. Internet: A network that links computer networks all over the world by satellite and telephone, connecting users with service networks such as e-mail and the World Wide Web 
9. Database: A collection of information that is organized so that it can be easily be accessed, managed and updated. 
10. System: An organized collection of interacting or interdependent components forming an integrated whole.
