The Kaduna State Police Command today confirmed that Malam Ahmad Garko, an Islamic preacher popularly known as ‘Al-Garkawy' had been abducted by gunmen while working in his farm.

Fake currency note producer nabbed in Enugu, blames satan


The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a fake currency note producer identified as Collins Oputa.



The Command's spokesperson, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the arrest said the suspect was arrested on July 26, by operatives of the Ogui Division over his alleged nefarious activities ranging from fake currency naira note production.

Seven SARS operatives were caught on video in the process of extorting money from an innocent citizen in Asaba, Delta state.

Maxwell, a building contractor was stopped by the officers as he was exiting a fuel station with a keg of petrol. He was searched and when they found nothing on him, the officers searched his phone and concluded he was a "Yahoo" boy.

The Lagos Zonal office of EFCC on Monday, July 30, 2018, arraigned three officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, before Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos. they were arraigned on an eight-count charge bordering on conspiracy, diversion of public funds and money laundering to the tune of N179, 800,000.00 (One Hundred and Seventy-nine Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira).

At least four persons lost their lives after gunmen attacked a mosque at Kawddi village, Zurmi local government area of Zamfara state yesterday July 26th. The gunmen stormed the mosque at about 8pm when the Muslim faithfuls were observing their night prayers.

Woman throws her 2-year-old grandchild into well to teach daughter-in-law lesson in Niger state

The police in Niger state has arrested a 55-year-old woman, Aisha Ibrahim, for killing her two-year-old grandchild at Karaya Fulani Camp in the Rafi Local Government Area of the state.



According to reports, Aisha and the mother of the deceased who is her daughter in-law, had been at loggerheads.

On the day of the incident, Aisha's son, Bello. and the wife had gone to the neighboring village to attend a christening and In a moment of rage, Aisha carried her grandchild, tied the little girl with a rope and threw her inside a well in their compound.

Operatives of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, Port Harcourt's Zonal Office, have arrested a fake Army General in the Nigerian Army, posing as Brigadier General Dawuk Danfulani of the 6 Division Garrison, Nigeria Army, Port Harcourt's Barracks, Rivers State.



The suspect, Adesola Bucknor, allegedly "appointed" the Vice Chancelor, Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Diba, as Chief Command Patron of the Nigerian Army Chaplain Service and signed the "Appontment Letter" in the name of Brigadier General Dawuk Danfulani.

Kidnappers who killed Catholic priest sentenced to death by hanging


A High Court in Makurdi, Benue state has sentenced the two surviving kidnappers who abducted and killed a Catholic priest in 2016.



Fr. John Adeyi, a Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo and Parish Priest of Catholic Church Okpoga, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on April 24, 2016. The cleric was later killed even after the kidnappers had collected the ransom they demanded and his body was dumped in a farm near Otukpa.


A few months later, four of the kidnappers were arrested by A team of the Nigerian police led by ACP Abba Kyari.

Today, Wednesday, July 25, 2018, two of the surviving suspects were found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging.

Muyideen Fatai, has been arrested after he abducted an 11-year old girl, tied her mouth and was taking her to an unknown destination before she was rescued in Lagos.

The incident happened along Ijaniki Road by Total filling station, Ijaniki, Lagos, where Mr. Fatai was said to have accosted the victim, Miss Aishat Tunde, on her way to an undisclosed destination.

The Boko Haram terror group has released a footage showing attacks on troops in the north eastern part of the country. Last week, Boko Haram insurgents ambushed a convoy in Balagallaye village in the Boboshe area outside Bama in Borno state.

An officer said that the soldiers had received a report that “around 100 terrorists” had gathered in Boboshe and that the “troops mobilised to fight them” with the army suffering casualties as many soldiers were reported missing.

The Boko Harm terrorists attacked and overran a military base in Yobe state in the second major assault on the armed forces in two days.

The militants invaded the base holding more than 700 soldiers in Yobe State.

Fewer than 100 soldiers returned following the attack, which took place just 24 hours after Boko Haram fighters ambushed a military convoy in neighbouring Borno State…

Police dismisses four SARS operatives for armed robbery, kidnapping and unlawful detention...charge them to court!

The Assistant Inspector General in charge of zone 2 command, AIG Adamu Ibrahim has upheld the recommendation of police disciplinary body that recommended dismissal of four policemen attached to Special Anti Robbery Squad Ikeja, Lagos (SARS).
The four policemen who were dismissed and subsequently charged to court on offences of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Unlawful detention, Intimidation and threatening violence being the report of the Investigation carried out against them when one Mr Chukwudi Godwin Odionye popularly referred to as 'Bishop' submitted a petition against the four on 2nd day of May 2018.
The petitioner in his petition stated that on the 4th of June 2017, he was in his house around Alagbado Lagos when the four armed men stormed his house to effect his arrest on the allegation of performing 'FAKE' miracles. He stated that after his arrest, he was taken to one hotel at Agege where he was detained and threatened to be killed if he fails to cooperate. He explained further that on the following day 5th June 2017, he was taken to bank where he was made to transfer seven million Naira to one of the operative's account.
On the receipt of the petition the AIG ordered Investigation into the case.
On the strength of Investigation it was revealed that no proper police procedure for Investigation was followed in Mr chukwudi's arrest and that the four SARS operatives actually abducted the man from his house and Unlawfully detained him in the hotel under the guard of the suspects for personal gain.

Who were subsequently found guilty during the orderly room trial for professional misconduct, corrupt practices and discreditable conduct were dismissed and consequently charged to court on criminal charges of Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Unlawful Detention, Stealing, Intimidation and threatening violence.
The Police Public Relations Officer of zone 2 command, CSP Dolapo Badmos while parading the suspects reiterated the AIG'S directive that the force will not tolerate any act of misconduct that undermines the value of International best practices of policing as she stated further that any police officer or men found guilty will not be spared.
