The Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, has said that the council has concluded plans to ban street begging and clear destitute within the metropolis of the council.

Remember the April 14, 2014 incidence that occurred in Chibok, Borno State, teenagers Lydia Pogu and Joy Bishara, who were at the time in the boarding school shared their experience on the night of the attack. Joy told People that they were resting after a festive evening dinner, dancing and catching fun before two men suddenly burst into the school claiming to be soldiers who would protect the girls.

Rescued Boko Haram bride flees home, returns to Sambisa forest

A report from Thomson Reuters Foundation indicates that a former Boko Haram bride who recently returned home after three years in the insurgents’ stronghold has disappeared.

Her disappearance has stoked concern about the difficulty of deradicalisation and reintegrating women seized by the jihadists.

Extremist sect Boko Haram on Wednesday night attacked the city of Maiduguri, killing 11 people, police said on Thursday.

“The fighters had attacked the city’s suburbs on Wednesday night with anti-aircraft guns,” said Damian Chukwu, Police Commissioner of Borno State.

Two Chibok Girls graduate from High School in the US

Two Chibok schoolgirls, who escaped from Boko Haram militants have graduated from a high school in Washington D.C..

The two girls known simply by their first names Debbie and Grace graduated after completing junior year (11th grade) and senior year (12 grade) at a private school in the Washington metro area in America.

Interior Minister Abdulrahman Dambazau said that he believe More of the Chibok girls will be Released soon

The Minister of Interior, General Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Friday said that the Federal is confident that the Boko Haram would release more Chibok school girls soon.

Danbazau stated this in Minna while speaking to newsmen on the sidelines of the Wedding Fatiha of Halima Babangida, daughter of Former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida to businessman Auwal Abdullahi.

President Buhari Meets Released Chibok Girls | Photos

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday met with the recently released Chibok Schoolgirls who were abducted from their dormitories in April 2014.

The girls, who regained their freedom on Saturday from Boko Haram captivity, were released to international negotiators who have been working in collaboration with the Federal government for their safe return since their kidnap.

About five million people in Northeast Nigeria are desperately hungry and risk starving to death this year if they do not receive food aid, according to figures from the United Nations. This wrought caused by Boko Haram could drive even more Nigerians to flee the country to Europe via the Mediterranean Sea, unless the international community ramps up support and funds, Ayoade Alakija, Nigeria’s humanitarian coordinator said.

#BringBackOurGirls to re-engage FG over missing Chibok girls


The #BringBackOurGirls group has expressed its desire of re-engage the government on issues concerning the abducted Chibok girls and the insurgency in the Northeast.

In a press release signed by leaders of the group, Dr Oby Ezekwesili and Aisha Yesufu, the group reiterated its position that none of the five demands from their engagement with government have been completed.

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) troops on Friday said it had successfully repelled Boko Haram terrorists’ attacks in Baga.
