It seems the meeting with Igbo leaders and members of Ala-Igbo International Foundation paid off, as it has been gathered that IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu has reportedly dropped his threat of stopping Anambra State Governorship election.

Speaking after the meeting held in Owerri, Leader of the foundation, Professor Uzodinma Nwala, says after much deliberations which they say is still ongoing, IPOB has assured the Igbo leaders that it won’t disrupt the November 18 governorship election.

Nnamdi Kanu inaugurates Biafra Secret Service-Watch

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has in his quest to achieve a sovereign state of Biafra inaugurated the Biafra Secret Service (BSS).

The BSS has its members from various states, including Abia, Imo, and Bayelsa.

Kanu is given a guard of honour in the video, by members of the service who are clad in all black with red berets.

Violation of Bail Conditions: Only court can determine Nnamdi Kanu’s fate – FG

Minister of Interior Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd) has given reasons why Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has not been arrested despite violating bail conditions granted him by the Federal High Court, Abuja.

According to The Nation, Dambazau made this known at a media briefing on Friday in Abuja.
“The issue is that yes Nnamdi Kanu violated bail conditions but it is not time yet for him to go back to the court for trial. We have this assumption but I think it is left for the court that gave those conditions to determine whether those conditions were violated or not.

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has said that the Federal government re-arresting him would quicken the actualization of the Republic of Biafra.

Kanu also said that nobody can restrict his movement in any part of the country and that he is free to go to any part of Nigeria, including Lagos, if he so wishes.

According to the IPOB leader who spoke in Umuahia, nobody can stop him from visiting Lagos State if he wants to visit there, saying he was not bothered by threats by some elements that his safety would not be guaranteed in Lagos.

Nnamdi Kanu reveals those behind Anambra church killings

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has alleged that the leaders of the apex Igbo organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, were behind the gunman attack on worshippers in St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Anambra state.

He made the allegations while addressing IPOB members who paid him a visit at his Umuahia residence yesterday.

According to him, Ohanaeze leadership allegedly accepted financial inducement from anti-Biafra individuals and organization to divide the opinions of South-easterners through various media statements so that terror could be unleashed on the people already divided in thoughts.

IPOB members "attack" Governor Obiano in church, chant "no election in Anambra"

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, yesterday, narrowly escaped attack by youths and women suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) at the St. Joseph Church, Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of the state.

The governor had attended a church in the area but had hardly settled down when some youths and women, who were adorned in Biafran insignias, chanting Biafra songs, besieged the gate of the church shouting, “No election in Anambra State; “we want referendum;” “no referendum, no election.”

Obi of Onitsha cannot set our agenda - IPOB

Pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has responded to a statement credited to the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, that “IPOB has no right to stop elections in Anambra state”

According to reports, IPOB declared that traditional title holders cannot set the agenda for the group, even though they are entitled to their own opinions. 

BlogMallNigeria.com notes that IPOB’s response was contained in a statement signed by the group’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful.

According to a post on Facebook by Somto Okonkwo, the supporters who were reportedly in their millions, came out to welcome the IPOB leader during his visit to Owerri on Friday, July 28. 



Speaking on Kanu's visit, the Biafra Radio in a statement said the IPOB leader's visit to Owerri was part of his visit to Biafran territories geared towards preaching of the gospel of the Restoration of Biafra.

Nnamdi Kanu fights bail conditions, saying "I want to attend rallies, grant press interviews"

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who was prosecuted alongside others on treasonable felony charges but granted bail afterwards, has filed a motion to fight the bail conditions granted to him by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Punch reports that in his application filed on July 1, 2017, Kanu stated that parts of the bail conditions prohibiting him from being seen in a crowd exceeding 10 persons, granting press interviews and holding or attending rallies, violated his constitutional rights.
