The Oppo F15 was introduced last year and ran on Android 9 Pie based on ColorOS 6.1. In January, the company released a beta version of Android 11 for device users in India. The F15 was expected to get a stable update of Android 11 in India from March 17th. The test seems to have passed without a hitch, as the company has already started releasing a stable version of ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 for the device.
The update is currently targeted to a limited number of users but will be available to all users of the device in a few days. Although no update changelog has been detected, according to details shared on Twitter, the update improves system stability, performance, and loading speed. In addition, the F15 update comes with camera optimization and enhancement.
It would be recalled that the Oppo F15 was launched sporting a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone is powered with the MediaTek MT6771V Helio P70 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The F15 has a single 16MP front camera and a combination of 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera setup on the back.
It packed a 4025mAh, non-removable battery and has a 20W Fast charging feature. Oppo F15 came in Lightning Black and Unicorn White options and was made available with a price tag of £218.90.
The ColorOS 11.1 stable update carries firmware version CPH2001_11_F.10 and should reach all the Indian units in a week or two.
