Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is bringing the POCO M3 to Nigeria. The company is trying to replicate the success it has achieved with the device in India. It is recalled that the POCO M3 was recently launched in India and that in just 10 days the company sold more than 250,000 units of the device.
POCO has no official presence in Nigeria, so the M3 will be sold under parent company Xiaomi as well as Redmi. The phone will be available in Nigeria in Power Black and Cool Blue. The popular yellow colour will not be available to customers across the country.
The POCO M3 comes with a 6.53-inch FHD + IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. It weighs 162.3 x 77.3 x 9.6 mm and weighs 198 grams. It is powered by a Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 octa-core processor supported by the Adreno 610 GPU. It runs on MIUI 12 based on the Android 10 operating system.
The phone’s rear camera configuration is a combination of three rear cameras and one forward-facing snapper. At the back is the main wide-angle 48 MP + 2 MP macro + 2 MP depth, with LED flash, HDR and panorama. There is one wide 8MP camera on the front. It has a huge 6000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging support.
The POCO M3 is available in 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The phone will be available in Nigeria at a price of ₦64,999 and ₦69,999, respectively. Currently, interested customers can get the POCO M3 through the official Xiaomi store in Jumia, Nigeria.
