Huawei unveiled the Mate X2, the company’s latest folding phone, at an event in China. It comes with several interesting specifications and impressive battery life.
The Mate X2 comes with an internal 8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a sampling rate of 180 Hz and an external 6.45-inch OLED display with a sampling rate. 240 Hz touch screen.
The inner board supports DCI-P3 colours, but the outer does not. External gains in terms of ring sampling rate, 240 Hz vs. 180 Hz.
The internal display has the industry's first "magnetically controlled nano-optical layer". It’s an elegant way to say it minimizes light reflection and glare (reflectivity is less than 1.5%, compared to 5% or more for the Galaxy Z Fold2).
The Huawei Mate X2 runs the Kirin 9000 chipset, runs on Android 10 with EMUI 11 on top, but it will be the first phone to get HarmonyOS in April. The phone has 8 GB of RAM plus 256 or 512 GB of storage.
It is hosted by a 4500mAh battery (2250mAh x 2) with support for fast charging with a 55W wire.

The HUAWEI Mate X2 comes in Black, White, Crystal Blue and Crystal Pink colours, is priced at 17,999 yuan (US$ 2783) for the 256GB storage version and the 512GB storage version costs 18,999 yuan (US$ 2938).
It will go on sale starting from China from February 25.
