The Lagos State Judicial Investigation Commission, which is investigating the alleged killing of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at Lekki’s tollgate, said it expects forensic experts hired to investigate the scene to submit their report.
The chairman of the jury, Judge Doris Okuwobi (retired), revealed this by rejecting a request from concessionaire Lekki, a tollgate operator, to return a building that had been closed since the demonstration.
According to Judge Okuwobi, until an expert report was received, the LCC could not gain access to the facilities. Forensics should report on Friday.
Speaking at the request of LCC's lawyer, Rotimi Seriki, for the company to have access to the facilities, the board chairman said: "It is the committee's responsibility to wait for a (forensic) report before taking further steps to implement LCC's Lekki Toll Plaza acquisition. "
Forensic experts were paid by the government of the state of Lagos and allegedly sought evidence of live ammunition or buses, as well as the blood of the victims of the shooting in the tollgate.
