The Redmi 9 was launched in China, the successor to the Redmi 8 ... as expected, it is absolutely easy to use. It was first introduced in Europe earlier this month and has already been released in China.

The Redmi 9 is built around a 6.53 ″ LCD screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, and is in charge of the Helio G80 SoC. It throws MIUI 11 out of the box, and Redmi says a stable version of MIUI 12 is expected after July 30, 2020.

The Helio G80 smartphone is equipped with a total of five cameras - an 8MP selfie shot located inside the water notch and a 13MP main camera on the back, accompanied by an ultra large 8MP sensor, a 5MP depth sensor and 2MP. The rear cameras are also connected by a fingerprint reader.

It comes with 4 GB / 64 GB, 4 GB / 128 GB and 6 GB / 128 GB of storage, with the possibility of expanding internal storage via a microSD card (up to 512 GB). The Chinese unit comes with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and powers the entire package. It is a 5020 mAh battery that consumes power through the USB-C port up to 18 W Quick Charge 3.0.

But keep in mind that the supplied adapter only charges the phone up to 10 W, so you will have to spend more if you want faster charging.

The Redmi 9 supports AI Face Unlock, along with a rear fingerprint sensor.

It comes in three memory versions there – 4GB/64GB priced at CNY799 ($115/N41,400), 4GB/128GB priced at CNY999 ($140/N50,400), and 6GB/128GB that costs CNY1,199 ($170/N61,200).
