The question is whether your smartphone will be a smartphone without any Google apps.

Huawei has released the latest Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30. Pro smartphones, and both programs lack YouTube, Google Maps and Gmail.

They also do not have the Google Play Store, which is a common method used by users outside of China to install third-party software on Android 10 phones.

To address this, Huawei has pre-loaded new alternative apps of its own. Applications like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp would all be available via Huawei’s own store, called the Huawei App Gallery.

But there is a way you can side-load Google applications on the latest Huawei Mate 30 phones but may not run as smoothly as the default google apps.

However, Huawei claims that because of the US ban… the phone cannot pre-install the GMS [Google Mobile Services] core. But instead forced them to use the HMS [Huawei Mobile Services] core.

Huawei’s own app store has only a fraction of the apps that Google’s Play store contains — 45,000 compared to 2.7 million –although Huawei said it has over one million developers. As with most new flagship phones, the emphasis is on the camera: the top-end Mate 30 Pro model packs four.

The question will be whether the hardware can make up for the absence of those Google apps that many smartphone users rely on.

A twitter user tried to install Google Play store on the newly released Huawei Mate 30 Pro but it failed to install.

The question still remains, will you rock a smartphone without google applications installed?
