Instagram is a platform where users can share photos and videos with their friends and loved ones. Owned by Facebook, it has become one of the most popular platforms for celebrities and fans. Like most social platforms, Instagram has a feature that lets you see the last time a user logs in to their account. For many this is a matter of privacy. Initially, the feature was not in Instagram, but it was long ago added to make the platform more like Facebook and WhatsApp.

In this post, Will show you, how to disable, hide or turn off the last seen feature on Instagram. It works on both Android and iPhone, so you don’t have to worry about your device type. So without wasting anymore of your time, simply follow the steps below to deactivate the feature.

How to hide last seen in Instagram

• To get this done, first log into your instagram account, and then tap on your Profile picture located at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
• Next step is to tap on the three-dot menu button located at the top-right corner This will take you to the Options menu.

• Under the Options menu, scroll down till the Settings sub-menu appears. Under that, you will see a new option called ‘Show Activity Status‘ with a toggle button right next to it.

• With this button, you can turn on and off the last seen feature on Instagram.

Note: For Android users, turning off the Activity Status feature will not instantly hide last seen in Instagram. After you have turned off this feature, remove the Instagram app from ‘recent apps’ and re-open it.

General Note

Hiding or turning off this feature will prevent others from seeing when last you were active on Instagram and also prevent you from seeing when they were last active.
