Since launching of Airtime Lending, our telecommunications companies have made a lot of money thanks to the low service rate. Initially, it all began with a 10% fee. But now it has been increased to 15% service fee.

This has led some users to no longer be interested in lending of airtime from their network providers. However, there is a simple code to avoid that charge on your Airtel network when you lend or borrow airtime.

Recently, we shared a simple tip on how to call any number without airtime on your Airtel Sim, but today we will focus on how to borrow airtime from Airtel without paying a fee for the service.

How To Borrow Airtime On Airtel Without Paying Service Charge

• Make sure your Airtel sim is eligible for borrowing airtime. To be eligible for Airtel extra credit, you have to have been an Airtel subscriber for at least 2 months and use an average of N200 monthly.
• Then dial *500*0# and choose the amount of airtime you want to borrow.
• If you are eligible, you will be credited without service charge being deducted. 
• If you're not eligible for Airtel extra credit, you'll see a response like "Dear customer, you do not qualify for Extra credit. Please keep your Airtel line active".
