Android 8.1 Oreo beta is now available for Essential phone. As the US firm confirmed in January, the main handset will launch with Android 8.0 and will be upgraded directly to Android 8.1 Oreo, where users who participated in the beta version of Android 8.0 already get the first beta version of this latest update. OS OTA day (in the air).
Alternatively, you can download the Essential web site file and have it manually flash on your smartphone to get a sample of Android 8.1 Oreo before it is distributed to the public.
The weight update of about 500 MB is accompanied by the number of the variable number that was added to Essential Phone. They include smart text selection, image to image, shots, faster startup and application connectivity. In addition, the update contains February's security patch, dynamic calendar and clock icons, and slow startup adjustments.
Before installing the Android 8.1 Oreo beta, make sure you have enough storage space, full-charged battery, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Fortunately, the update will be released later.
